Walker Lace Front Tape is designed with lace systems in mind, combining reliable attachment with a dull, low-visibility finish that works particularly well beneath lace. The delicate mesh carrier is flexible enough to follow the shape of the scalp and hair system while maintaining a secure bond for regular and extended wear.
The Contour format eliminates the need to cut curved pieces manually. Instead, each pre-cut tape contour can be positioned around the front hairline or perimeter where its shape best follows the base. Men's Wig Gallery currently offers A Contour and CC Contour, allowing you to choose the curvature that better matches your hair system and preferred attachment area.
Walker Tape rates Lace Front as hypoallergenic with medium residue and lists maximum wear at 1 - 2 weeks. Actual wear time varies according to skin chemistry, scalp preparation, climate, perspiration, activity level and maintenance routine.

Key Benefits
-
Pre-Cut Contour Shapes
Curved tape pieces follow the hairline or perimeter more naturally, reducing the need to cut and shape tape manually.
-
Dull, Discreet Finish
Designed with a dull finish to minimise visible shine, making Lace Front particularly useful beneath lace and around exposed attachment areas.
-
Flexible Extended-Wear Attachment
The delicate mesh carrier conforms to the base and scalp while providing a reliable bond for regular and extended wear.
Compatibility / Work Best with
Walker Lace Front Tape Contours are particularly well suited to:
- Swiss lace hair systems
- French lace hair systems
- Lace-front hair systems
- Lace/poly hybrid systems
- Hair systems with curved attachment areas
Although Walker Tape lists Lace Front as suitable for all system types, its dull finish and delicate mesh construction make it an especially logical choice for lace bases.
A Contour or CC Contour?
Both variants use the same Lace Front tape construction and adhesive. The difference is the contour shape.
Choose the contour that follows the curve of your hairline or the area of the hair system where you intend to place the tape most naturally. There is no universal "better" option—the best shape depends on your system and placement.
How to Use
- Clean the scalp and hair system base thoroughly and allow both surfaces to dry completely.
- Ensure the attachment area is free from oils and previous adhesive residue.
- Peel away the coloured liner scored through the middle.
- Position the adhesive side of the contour onto the hair system base, avoiding unnecessary contact with the adhesive.
- Repeat with additional contours as required around the attachment area.
- Remove the remaining white liners when ready to install.
- Carefully position the hair system and press firmly against the scalp without shifting it during bonding.
Important Notes & Skin Safety
Individual skin response can vary. A patch test is recommended before first use, particularly if you have not previously used this adhesive. Apply only to clean, healthy skin and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Walker Lace Front Tape has a medium residue rating. During removal, avoid pulling a lace system away from the scalp while the adhesive is still firmly bonded. Allow an appropriate adhesive remover or lace release product sufficient time to weaken the bond before gently separating the system. This is particularly important with fine lace bases, where careful removal can help reduce unnecessary stress on the material.
Keep the product away from heat, humidity and light. Store in a well-ventilated, cool, dark and dry room-temperature environment between 60–80°F (approximately 16–27°C). Seal the bag completely after use. Walker Tape states that properly stored tapes have a shelf life of up to one year.
How it Fits Into Your Hair System Routine
Lace Front Tape Contours are a practical choice when you want the convenience of pre-cut tape combined with a discreet attachment around curved areas of a lace hair system.
They may suit you particularly well if you:
- Wear a lace or lace-front hair system
- Prefer tape rather than liquid adhesive for regular attachment
- Want pre-cut curved pieces instead of cutting tape from a roll
- Want a dull finish beneath lace
- Prefer a predictable attachment and removal routine
For scalp preparation, Walker Tape Scalp Protector can be applied before attachment. For removal and adhesive cleanup, use an appropriate remover and work gradually rather than pulling directly against delicate lace.
If you prefer to cut tape into your own lengths and shapes rather than use pre-cut contours, please check Walker Lace Front Tape Roll.
