How to Use
- Clean the scalp and hair system base thoroughly and allow both surfaces to dry.
- For improved adhesion, ensure the scalp is free from oils and previous adhesive residue.
- Peel away the centre-scored liner and position the adhesive side onto the hair system base without touching the adhesive unnecessarily.
- Apply additional Mini tabs around the attachment area as required.
- Remove the remaining liner, carefully position the hair system and press firmly into place.
Walker Tape recommends performing a patch test before use. The manufacturer also recommends scalp preparation before installation and notes that Scalp Protector can be used before attachment to support bond performance and provide an additional barrier between the scalp and adhesive.
Important Notes & Skin Safety
Ultra Hold is a high-tack tape designed for extended wear. Individual skin response varies, so a patch test is recommended before first use. Do not apply tape to broken, irritated or compromised skin.
Because of its stronger adhesive characteristics, Ultra Hold may leave more residue than lighter-hold tapes. Do not pull or force the system away from the scalp during removal. Use an appropriate hair system adhesive remover (such as the Walker Tape C-22 Adhesive Solvent), allow the bond sufficient time to release, and remove the system gradually to minimise unnecessary stress on both the scalp and base. Walker Tape officially classifies Ultra Hold's residue level as High.
Keep the product away from heat, humidity and light. Store in a cool, dark, dry and well-ventilated room-temperature environment (60–80°F / approximately 16–27°C), and seal the bag completely after use. Walker Tape states that properly stored tapes have a shelf life of up to one year.
