Walker Lace Front Thin Mini's are designed for hair system wearers who want to keep the attachment around the hairline as thin and discreet as possible. At just 3 mil thick, the delicate mesh carrier creates a low-profile bond, while the dull finish helps minimise visible reflection beneath lace and other fine base materials.

The pre-cut Mini's format provides the convenience of ready-to-use tape tabs without manually cutting pieces from a roll. Walker Tape rates Lace Front Thin for 1–2 weeks of extended wear, making it particularly suitable for wearers who prefer shorter maintenance cycles rather than maximum-duration attachment.

Another important difference is residue. Lace Front Thin is officially rated Low Residue, allowing easier lifting and removal than many stronger extended-wear tapes. This makes it a practical option for delicate lace systems where reducing unnecessary stress during removal is an important part of long-term maintenance.

  • Ultra-Thin 3 Mil Profile

A delicate 3 mil mesh carrier keeps the attachment low-profile, helping create a clean, natural-looking transition around the hairline.

  • Dull Finish for Discreet Wear

Designed to minimise visible shine beneath lace and other fine hair system bases, particularly around exposed attachment areas.

  • Low Residue & Easier Removal

Provides 1–2 week extended wear while lifting more easily and leaving less residue than many longer-hold tapes, helping reduce unnecessary stress on delicate systems.

Compatibility / Work Best with

Walker Lace Front Thin Mini's can be used with all common hair system types, but their ultra-thin construction makes them particularly well suited to:

  • Swiss lace hair systems
  • Super fine Swiss lace systems
  • French lace hair systems
  • Lace-front hair systems
  • Lace/poly hybrid systems
  • Delicate or lightweight hair system bases

They are particularly useful when hairline discretion and gentle removal are more important than achieving the longest possible wear time.

For a super fine Swiss lace system: Air Lite – Super Fine Swiss Lace Hair System

For standard full Swiss lace: Air – Full Swiss Lace Hair System

For a lace/poly hybrid: Merge – Swiss Lace Hybrid Hair System

How to Use

  1. Clean the hair system and scalp thoroughly and allow both to dry completely.
  2. Prepare the scalp and base so they are free from oils and previous adhesive residue.
  3. Peel away the white liner scored through the middle of the Mini.
  4. Position the exposed adhesive side onto the hair system base, avoiding unnecessary contact with the adhesive.
  5. Repeat with additional Mini's around the attachment area as required.
  6. When ready to install, remove the remaining printed liners.
  7. Carefully position the hair system and press it firmly onto the scalp without shifting it during the initial bond.

For additional scalp preparation, Walker Tape Scalp Protector can be applied before attachment to help support the tape bond and create a protective barrier between the scalp and adhesive.

Important Notes & Skin Safety

Walker Tape classifies Lace Front Thin as hypoallergenic, but individual skin responses can still vary. Perform a patch test before first use, particularly if you have sensitive skin or have not previously used this adhesive. Do not apply tape to broken, cut or irritated skin.

Lace Front Thin is designed for approximately 1–2 weeks of extended wear and is officially rated Low Residue. Actual wear time varies depending on skin chemistry, scalp oils, perspiration, climate, activity level, preparation and maintenance routine.

During removal, work gradually and avoid pulling delicate lace directly away from the scalp while the adhesive remains bonded. An appropriate hair system adhesive remover can help release the tape and minimise unnecessary stress on both the scalp and hair system base.

Keep the product away from heat, humidity and light. Store in a well-ventilated, cool, dark and dry room-temperature environment between 60–80°F (approximately 16–27°C). Seal the bag completely after use. With proper storage, Walker Tape states that its tapes have a shelf life of up to one year.

How it Fits Into Your Hair System Routine

Lace Front Thin Mini's are a good choice when your priority is a thin, discreet attachment with a shorter and easier maintenance cycle, rather than maximum holding duration.

They may be particularly suitable if you:

  • Wear a fine or delicate lace hair system
  • Want minimal bulk around the hairline
  • Prefer pre-cut tape tabs instead of cutting tape from a roll
  • Prefer approximately 1–2 week maintenance cycles
  • Want lower adhesive residue for easier cleanup
  • Prioritise protecting delicate base materials during removal

For scalp preparation: Walker Tape Scalp Protector

For gentle removal and residue cleanup: Walker Tape C-22 Adhesive Remover

If you want a stronger, longer-wearing pre-cut tape instead: Walker No-Shine Tape Mini's

If maximum holding strength is your priority: Walker Ultra Hold Mini's
